Michael Kutschera specializes primarily in mergers & acquisitions, arbitration and international litigation and is author of scientific publications, among others in the fields of arbitration and legal opinions. He is frequently seen as counsel, chair and co-arbitrator in high-value proceedings under the Vienna, DIS, ICC and other Rules. As an internationally recognized counsel with innovative strategies in M&A, he acts mainly in cross-border transactions. His primary industry focuses are the financial industry, energy, pulp, fibres, and steel. He has been acting as lead partner in many national and international transactions in such industries.

Michael Kutschera is Member of the Supervisory Board of voestalpine AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wiesenthal & Co AG. He is past Chair of the IBA’s Committee on Banking Law and Bar Issues Commission and holds various other positions in this organization at present.
